Some sort of rewards system?

While it may or may not bring back older members, I can't help but think potential new members are discouraged from joining when they see a forum lacks life. Perhaps if we had a way to encourage people to post, the forums would revive better. Over at Magistream, one of the adoptables sites that Shad's a member on, they have a forum that gives you between 1 and 100 gold coins for posting, which members can then use to buy rare pets or offer to other members for trades and such. While I don't know what we could have them redeemable for, perhaps people would post more if they got some sort of points that they could use for something good? Of course, we'd also have to make sure that didn't encourage spam, such as only giving the points when posts are made in certain parts of the forum.

I'm not definitively saying this is something we are going to do, I'm just trying to brainstorm ideas to get people to post. Because it seems that even with a few more active people, there's not a whole lot of activity.

Well more posts would be a good place to start. The real trick is figuring out what sort of rewards, and how to implement them with the site. Of course it would help if the other admins would chime in whenever I try to start a discussion about stuff like this. TO ALL OTHER ADMINS READING THIS: Your job is NOT to admire the pretty pictures on the site, it's to be USEFUL! So please do your jobs!

I don't think it will work so well...I mean hardly any one comes on enough to post. We need to get new members. I'm not sure how yet though.

Yeah, that's it. and pretty much the one and only reason why TSC is popular.

Well, slow and steady does sometimes win the race. But I'm going to have to move it to get across campus in just 10 minutes for my 10 am class...which has a QUIZ today x.x

Perhaps some type of store like system? Similar to the one on TSC.
