I can't believe that people are buying into this '2012 Doomsday' nonsense. It's called a prediction. It is not a fact. Nobody can say for sure that the world is going to end on December 22, 2012. Now we're going to have a History lesson.
Back in the 1960s, people predicted that the world was going to end in the year 1970. That was almost fourty years ago, and the world isn't over now is it? And guess what else they predicted. That by the year 2010, cars would be hovering. It's 2009, exactly one year away from said date, and are vehicles even close to that extent? No, they're not. We now fast-forward to the Y2K scare. People predicted that technology would malfunction, henceforth ending the world (I don't know the full story behind it). It didn't happen, now did it?
And lastly, we reach June 6, 2006. Also known as 06/06/06. People predicted that the world was going to end on that day since it formed three sixes, the number of the devil. The world didn't end, now did it?No offence to anybody's beliefs or opinions, but I think that people are becoming paranoid when it comes to believing that the world will end on a specific date. As I stated, nobody can really say when it's going to end.
Notice that I labelled the word 'predicted'. I did this to prove a point. To prove that people made predictions, and they weren't classified as a true fact.
Now, this day sort of does scare me but not for that .There's gonna be a lot of mass hysteria and people acting crazy because they're afraid. Which in turn, might lead to a lot of bad stuff happening.
A lot of people are gonna have it in their heads that it is their last day, so with that mindset, imagine all of the stuff they might do that they were afraid to do before (e.g. kill someone they hate, rob a bank, steal, break in people's houses, etc.). "Hey, might as well be a millionaire on my final day and steal as many hamburgers as I can!".
*sigh* I don't look forward to this day.
